Beam is designed to enhance workplace productivity and engagement through a suite of features categorised into two main groups: Engagement and Performance.

This guide provides an overview of these feature groups and instructions on how to manage them within your workspace, depending on the subscription plan you have chosen.

Engagement features

The Engagement group includes features that facilitate communication and interaction among team members:

  • Updates: Share and receive updates within your team.

  • Pulse: Understand sentiment within your team.

  • One-on-One Meetings: Schedule and conduct 1:1 meetings.

  • Feedback: Give and receive feedback to foster growth and improvement.

Depending on your subscription, you have the flexibility to toggle features on or off to best suit your team's needs. You can turn off the entire Engagement feature group or manage individual features such as Updates Pulse, One-on-One Meetings, and Feedback functionality.

Performance features

The Performance group is focused on goal setting and reviews:

  • OKRs & Goals: Set and track specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals.

  • C&C Review: Also known as Performance review, this feature allows for comprehensive evaluations based on culture and competences.

Similar to Engagement features, you can turn on or off the C&C Review. OKRs and Goals feature is included by default in the Performance group and cannot be toggled off.

Subscription plans

Beam offers two main subscription plans, each covering different feature groups:

  • Beam Essentials: This plan covers all Engagement features, providing tools necessary for fostering team communication and engagement.

  • Beam Standard: This plan includes Performance features, focusing on goal setting and performance evaluations.
